Baseline Rotors, even crossdrilled, not worth buying.
I can't say anything bad about the company in terms of how they fill orders, but I bought a set of cross drilled rotors for my Subaru, and in less than three months, the Beck-Arnley ceramic pads warped them. During Christmas, while out of town, I had a private mechanic take them off and have them machined, and put EBC semi-metallic pads on, so they wouldn't warp again. It doesn't look like that is going to work either. I am a bit bewildered, because I just use the car for my everyday transportation. It is better to buy the premium grade rotors the first time, with the better level of cast iron material that resists warping. The problem is that most of these companies do have a premium grade rotor that will work just fine, but they are about $15-$30 less than comparable Brembo, or EBC rotors. Not worth the risk. I ordered EBC's because the rotors are cast in their own foundry in England, and the price I got was $10 more than Brake Performance's competing premium rotor. I know that I can pull these Brake Performance rotors off and the EBC's will not need any expensive machining for a long time, if ever. I think that a good semi-metallic pad is the way to go (The EBC semi-metallic has the best stopping power of any pad I have ever used, and they are only $40-$50 a set), and I am curious to know where BP's foundry is. China? If you are buying your own brakes, and do the work yourself, stick with the known brands, especially in the rotor department. I ended up spending more, with a lot of hassle, and still ended up with EBC.
