NAKED AND AFRAID
well where to begin... this place was not cheap .. 1500 for 3 nights.. 1 bedroom flat with a kinda makeshift cabana for the second bedroom with a shower unit in the small bath... They tried to make the main house modern and was somewhat nice, the cabana on the other hand was an afterthought ... The main house has a nice finished kitchen and bath .. the bedroom has an open concept into the kitchen making it not a place you can have any company when you decide to go to sleep .. so sharing this place with some friends will mean .. the other couple or kids are confined to the sucky cabana The cabana had peel and stick vinyl flooring with that even used as the baseboard so some were falling off.. there were ants crawling around the entry when we got in .. a SIGN ... there was an unidentifiable smell right by the entry door we identified later as perhaps the illegal garage dwelling above the cabana where apparently an old lady lives in.. with a number of animals that must pee by or around the entrance. the bed was nice but everything about this room really sucked.. the HVAC was in this room ..and even though we didnt have air conditioning we thought we did for the 1st night.. the bathroom was hideous and subpar.. ... we stayed there the last week of August.. the owner of the property disconnected the A/C for any visitors or it broke and he took it out.. regardless the place was 90 degrees when we checked in and the whole weekend was miserable ..We waited till we got our security deposit back before I BLAST this place on YELP.... the 1st night being so hot inside we tried to eat outside in the back with a really nice view... no ocean view which we thought was the case... There was an odor so pungent like a dead rat under the deck it made it difficult to even be at the seating area on the patio .. so we moved stuff around to be as far away from the smell as we could... not much better .. we asked the manager to bring some cooling units as we were dying of heat stroke with 90 degree nights inside this place.. that next afternoon a nice young man brought in some really useless fans that didnt help ...the speeds were ..low, lower and lowest .. The managers are not very plugged in to their business.. they should/could have checked the place before we got there... where is their quality control ? the smell ? the ants ..? the baseboards falling off .. the 90 degree internal temps .. ? the 1st night laying naked in bed with a bowl of ice and a towel my wife and I were dousing each other drinking insane amounts of alcohol to cope with the horror ,,, I was already on HOTELS . COM trying to see if there was a HOTEL we could check in at ... at $500 a night its not like we were trying to save money ... The lack of insight .. the lack of responsibility, the lack of effort to even inspect the unit prior to their customers checking in ... leaves one to wonder how they are stiil in business... We coined this weekend ; NAKED AND AFRAID
