Over the last twenty years living in the neighborhood of the Chevron gas station on Holloway I have visited the service station numerous times and never liked either their attitude nor their work provided. Lastly, I spend a good portion on money to rotate tires only to be explained their would be surcharge for balancing…? – Costumers had specifically requested such service… - four times I returned expressing that the tires were wobbling dangerously when driving over 40 miles and when one of the tires even burst and they had to exchange it again, the still did not check if the alignment was okay or even test drove it: the explanation was that there is no freeway near by to check it out... My cost for this experience was over $800 and the problem persists. I did however pointed out that friends had suggested other elements should be checked – but this garage never gave me a written statement that they did serviced such promised check-up… I bickered beyond my personality trying to be stubborn about the incorrect responses until they agreed to a free alignment. Last week I returned, after my car stalled on Holloway; not that I would have ever gone back to those questionable mechanics, but irony of circumstances had it - I rolled to their garage. This time in presents of a friend they quickly expressed I needed to change the alternator; it did not charge the battery any longer. I left the car in their service station for three days and when I picked it up it stalled the next day again. We called and expressed they should at least tow us back and check why their service was insufficient. They refused rudely. After we returned the vehicle they agreed to "check it out and call back..." No follow up call for another two days... When I called today an employee explained that my car was being road-tested...I should call back later – I requested if they kindly would call me? An hour later a mechanic explained I needed a new battery; it did not hold the charges. I pondered if that might had been the original problem causing this mechanic to respond hostile: expressing agitated - this was a new problem. I pressured why they did not check after charging me for a new alternator - if the battery had been fully charged as he said they did… I reckoned: “If the battery can’t hold the charge, surely testing this a few hours later would simply proof this...” Now the mechanic responded that I was a difficult client and did not understood their service methods: I should pick up my car and hung up on me. I certainly will file a complaint with BBB and request that I am fairly serviced as I paid for a specific correction and did not receive fair service. I now hear only awful stories from my neighbors; we live within blocks from that Garage and certainly none of us will even purchase gas there...
