On 11-7-11, I contacted to get information about a possible order. I spoke via computer twice with Kathleen. She assured me that the flowers could be shipped from Just Flowers in Los Angeles, CA to Cordova, AK in the same business day, arriving between 9am and 2pm. About an hour later, I spoke via phone with a representative and placed the order. I was again assured by her that the flowers would arrive the same day. I requested "An Apple a Day" with fresh apples and grapes in the arrangement rather than plastic as shown. The photo showed a large wicker basked with a handle. It was full of red roses, red gerbera daisies, red carnations. I was told the basket was about 18' in diameter. I was told again that the flowers would arrive that day.
On 11-8-11, I called Just Flowers. I hadn't heard from my daughter (the recipient) by either phone or email and I knew she would have contacted me had she recieved them. They told me they would contact the retailer and call me back that day to confirm that the flowers had arrived. I didn't hear back that day, nor Wed or Thurs. I was unable to recontact Just Flowers until Thurs afternoon, 11-10-11. I spoke with the same representative who had taken my order. I complained that I'd not heard back from them as promised. She told me she would contact the retailer and get right back to me. I waited about 2 hours and then called back again. This time, I told her that I wanted to speak to a manager. She told me she'd left a message with the retailer and hadn't heard back yet. I again told her I wanted to speak to a manager. He got on the phone and assured me that he would contact the retailer and call me back in 5 minutes. I waited 20 minutes and then called my daughter in Cordova, AK. Not only had she not received the flowers, but she told me that the florist in Cordova had closed 3-4 months ago! I called back and told the manager that I wanted a full refund based on my experience with them. He hesitated and 3 times in a row ignored my request for a refund while offering me a mere $5 and then a $10 coupon off my next order! When I refused to talk to him about anything else, he finally listened and checked with his superior. I was given a full credit to my account.
I would like to warn anyone else considering business with Just Flowers, especially long distance to reconsider. They did not follow through on contacting the florist and didn't even have a viable retailer to deal with!
This is very poor customer service and in my mind, renders them unreliable.
