They work to make sure your claim is denied
I have been using this “insurance” through Shopify for most of my packages in hopes of not actually needing to file a claim. Well that day came and I had higher expectations that my claim would go through seamlessly considering the package I had to open the claim for went missing for over a month and they were holiday items. When my customer first notified me that her tracking had no movement for weeks I went ahead and tried to open the claim and I was not successful as there is a waiting period to open a non delivery claim so after waiting and still no movement I proceeded to open the claim, in good faith I didn’t want to keep my customer in limbo waiting to hear back about this claim as she had already waited over a month for her package that never arrived so I refunded her for the order while I awaited the claim to be reviewed and processed. Magically while the claim was under review and about to process USPS updates after an entire month of this packages tracking sitting stagnant showing delivered. I contacted my customer and she told me that was a lie and nothing was delivered but because USPS tracking states it was delivered well over a month after this claim was already processing now Shipsurance has closed the claim. I have emailed them pleading my case and they still closed the claim stating they don’t cover delayed packages, how is it delayed if it still didn’t arrive?! I am never again insuring anymore of my packages with this scam of a company. I do not recommend using them, look elsewhere to insure your stuff.

Kim - Thank you for the review, but it looks like there is confusion here. If your buyer did not receive their package, we will definitely cover you! You emailed us just yesterday (1/26) to explain that your buyer did not receive the package AFTER the scanned delivery date of 1/19. Our claims team did not have a chance to respond to you and you have wrote negative reviews on multiple websites. Apologizes that it has taken our team one day to respond to your email, but rest assured, if your buyer did not receive their package, you are covered!
