We received a letter of intent from this company to collect an invalid debt in July 2012 for defunct Hollywood Video. We wrote them the appropriate notification that this was an invalid debt that we did not owe and a demand letter that they provide contract information and rental agreement with signature of renter which they were unable to do. We cited FCRA and sent certified mail. They never responded. Now, October 2012 they send another letter that we must dispute.
I am reporting this to State Attorney General & FTC. I am also looking for an attorney to take on class action lawsuit in this matter. My husband & I have excellent credit rating & ALWAYS PAY OUR BILLS.
I understand that some people do not pay their bills but we are not one of them!
