I along with four other friends were deeply disappointed at our 20 year reunion for class of 91. We came from a graduating class of over 600, and sadly only had approximately 20 people from our class attend. Great Reunions made the mistakable decision to collect $100 dollars per duped graduate and pathetically try to hold a "reunion". A reunion should be a celebration of at least 1/4 of the class, and you don't have to have a math degree to figure out this was not the case. Besides the overpriced ticket, and hour and a half drive out of our graduating city the event was to say, not eventful! Dinner was nothing but salad, chicken and vegetables, a slice of cake, oh yes, and water! Correction, coffee was also served at the end. Decorations were nothing but mini plastic megaphones and a mini pom pom per table. There were no activities, and the DJ looked as he was falling asleep in boredom. A bio-book was advertised to be given out, which was a joke. Only 5 of the 20 or so actually had their bios printed! It was so distasteful my few friends left them on the tables. What was promised to us was not delivered. Great Reunions did absolutely no advertising to notify our classmates. I only found out from word of mouth. At least 10 classmates along with myself have our parents in the exact address from our graduating year. Not one of us received information. Nowhere did Great Reunions advertise that half price tickets could be purchased without dinner. Only our class president was aware of this, and she saved herself $50 dollars. A 20 year reunion can only happen once and should be memorable because of the fantastic time shared with past classmates. It should not be memorable for being a rip-off! I urge you to plan a reunion on your own or select another company who looks out for their customers best interest, not for your money alone. I am only allowed to select one star which is generous. If it were up to me this company would receive a negative star!
