My first encounter with products manufactured by Keene Engineering was 19 years ago when I purchased a small, portable gold sluice via a distributor. It was a solid, high quality product and has provided me with years of dependable use. On 1/5/2011 I had opportunity to communicate with Keene Engineering directly to arrange for the purchase of a new motor-powered combination dredge / sluice. I followed up on 1/6/2011 with them to obtain detailed information in regard to my order, and was treated with the utmost respect. As I placed multiple calls to them, I had the opportunity to speak with different staff members, including Patrick Keene, "Jessica", "Nereida" and one other - I did not get his name as he transferred me to the person who could help me - and again was treated with patience, courtesy and respect. My order was not a high-dollar-value order, but I was treated as if it were. Patrick Keene took the time to explain in detail the differences between two products I was comparing, and answered all of my questions in detail, in terms that I found to be easily understood. They don't know me and I don't know them, but based upon the high quality of their products (Made in USA!) and the manner in which I was treated, I will be a repeat customer and will not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for prospecting equipment. I did note that, when faced with an unknown, all of the staff referred me to Patrick Keene for answers, which he more than adequately provided answers for. Perhaps less centralization of knowledge would benefit the staff there, but I did not notice anything else that I found to be odd or that would make me doubt that I was dealing with a professional and reputable company.
