DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES HERE FOR THEIR SAFETY AND WELL-BEING!!!!
I was in teen challenge for a total of 5 months and during that time lots of stuff happened....
I got strep throat (they refused to feed me anything except chicken broth, because they didn't take me seriously), I had to be quarantined for scabbies, lice outbreaks (mayo hair with plastic wrap), oatmeal restrictions (plain oatmeal for all meals), windows that were ALL screwed shut, the "conseling" was not frequent or helpful, I scrubbed tile grout with a toothbrush, they gave weeklong or longer "timeouts" where you could not talk to anybody or even move from the spot they assigned you (or risk adding time). The schooling was a complete joke and getting any help was met with disgust. When we got the opportunity to go outside of the locked down house, we either went to church where we were told not to look at or talk to guys or we went to beg for donations from outside of a walmart. I came out worse than I went in and they cannot take credit for ANYTHING I have accomplished. I was one of the I guess lucky ones to have only spent 5 months vs the 15 months or longer that some endured.
PLEASE DON'T SEND YOUR LOVED ONES HERE THEY WILL NOT HELP AS THEY SAY THEY WILL!!!!
