4 days after making a purchase with this seller I received a phishing email using the seller's name and destination information from my last order that I have never used on another site. The statement on their eBay page, "Max Tool, Inc", is itself fraudulent.
The entity was an LLC which had its license to transact business suspended by the CA Secretary of State in 2007. Their other trade name, Factory Authorized Outlet, is not registered as a DBA name, nor is the entity registered with the Secretary of State. Those
violations, taken together, mean that phishers are getting information from an entity that can not be identified. Since Max Tool, LLC was merged out in 2007, we do not know whether Robert Raskin is still running the entity.
