This company called me claiming to be an attorney's office stating that I had an unpaid cash advance which is false. The first person I spoke to representing this company was Lauren and she stated on 10/26/11 that I had until 10/28/11, two days, to satisfy the debt or I would be issued a subpoena. They expected me to pay them over the phone without having anything in front of me stating how much was owed and to who. No one in their right mind would do that! I asked for an extension on 10/27/11 so I could send a self addressed, stamped envelope to the corporate office of the company that hired them so they can send me a copy of the check in question so I could verify that the debt was legitimate. I spoke to Reyna at the corporate office that hired NACS and she told me to send the self addressed envelope to their corporate office in Ohio and they'd send me a copy of the check. I told Lauren this when I requested the extension and she stated that she'd have to call Reyna and verify that we had that conversation before granting me the extension and that she would call me on 10/28/11, my deadline date to pay. I hadn't heard back from Lauren in almost a week so I called NACS today to speak to her and once I told her who I was, she forwarded me to a gentleman named Hayden, who right out of the gate was rude, told me that the request for an extension was denied and that I had to pay them $127 or I'd be issued a subpoena, taken to court, charged interest from 2007, be held responsible to pay court and attorney fees as well as having my wages garnished. I told him if the debt was valid, that I'd pay it but I wanted proof that I owed money. Hayden told me that they had a time limit for these things and that they weren't going to take more time to send me verification of the debt. He also stated that they sent me a bill on or around September 18th of this year but again, I NEVER received anything. I just want consumers to be aware of this company. It wasn't hard to find reviews from other people online who claim to have had the same experience with this collection agency. If they are indeed a fraudulent business, then I'd like to see something done about it. Thank you for taking the time to read this review and I hope none of you fall victim to dishonest companies trying to scam the innocent. Please be cautious and don't give out any personal info to anyone over the phone, internet or other.
