$45 promo is deceiving! Beware!
Scale is NOT free! You have to pay shipping and tax...EXTREMELY small print. Details below.
I received a promotion offer through the mail for Stamp.com and it says "Special OFFER. Try stamps.com for 4 weeks with NO RISK and NO UPFRONT COSTS. We even give you FREE POSTAGE to use during your tiral. $100 EXTRAS.
- $45 in postage
- Free Scale
- $5 supplies kit
I have two feed back for this.
I was very disappointed and caught off guard when I was told I will be paying shipping and tax for the Scale AT THE END of the order after all that effort. I then went back to the mail promo and realized at the very bottom of the page on the right corner you guys stated it in VERY VERY SMALL letters this fact. I know, my rookie mistake, but with reason you have to agree this is I dare say intentionally deceptive.
What's worse is nowhere on the mail promo did it state we get the $45 AFTER our trial period. From the wording and layout of everything, it is pretty straightforward that the customer gets $45 "DURING YOUR TRIAL".
As you can imagine, I feel horribly deceived for such "fine print" marketing tactics!
I'm not here to whine, I am here to provide constructive feedback for future customer and for your business.
Let customers know up front the $45 is only for AFTER the trial. Put that next to the promo! Same for the shipping and tax for scale...MOVE that next to the promo. Put it in small prints if you have to but MOVE IT up!
I will be cancelling my membership for this sheer fact that I feel so deceived from a customer's stand point.
Again, I'm not here to whine, just trying to give the blunt truth for what the experience was like from a new user perspective. I'm sure I'm not the first, so I highly encourage stamps.com to modify these wording to aquire new and loyal customers. If not for this one and future person's bad experience, do it for your bottom line.
